Same day Agra tour by car — itinerary and fare

A same-day Agra tour by car is the most efficient way to see the Taj Mahal from Delhi. You leave before dawn, see the Taj and Agra Fort, and are back in Delhi the same evening. Here is the exact itinerary we run, what it costs, and what to skip if you are short on time.

Fare

A same-day return by sedan is about ₹5,000–5,500; Innova ₹7,500–8,000; Crysta ₹8,500–9,000. That is for the whole car, not per person, and it includes waiting while you sightsee. A one-way drop is ₹2,800 if you are continuing to Jaipur instead of returning.

Should you add Fatehpur Sikri?

Fatehpur Sikri is 40 km from Agra and needs 90 minutes including the drive. Adding it makes the day 14–15 hours instead of 12. If you have the energy, it is worth it — the Buland Darwaza and the abandoned Mughal city are genuinely impressive. If you are travelling with children or elderly parents, skip it and add Mehtab Bagh instead.
