About the Agra to Jaipur drive
This is the most interesting drive of the Golden Triangle, and the one most people rush. The road via Fatehpur Sikri and Bharatpur is a mix of four-lane highway and two-lane stretches, so the 240 km takes closer to five hours once you add a stop. That is a good thing — Fatehpur Sikri alone deserves 90 minutes.
A well-paced day looks like this: leave Agra at 8:00 AM, spend 90 minutes at Fatehpur Sikri, stop for lunch near Bharatpur, take 30 minutes at the Abhaneri stepwell, and reach Jaipur by 5:00 PM. If you are short on time, skip Abhaneri and go straight through Dausa.
Do not plan this as a same-day return. The round trip is over 480 km and 10 hours of driving, which leaves no real time at either end. If you must return the same day, book a Crysta or Innova for comfort and start by 7:00 AM.
